Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

Duane Reade is seeking a dynamic and motivated team player to join the Pharmacy department as a Pharmacy Technician. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for verifying prescription information, retrieving and preparing medications, and maintaining patient profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness
  • Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, and mix medications as needed
  • Prepare prescription labels and containers
  • Maintain patient profiles and prepare insurance claim forms
  • Stock and take inventory of prescription medications
  • Refer questions to a Pharmacist
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer prior work experience with Duane Reade
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB Certification
