Pharmacy Technician Job Description

OMM Pharmacy in Brooklyn is seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting patients with their inquiries, processing transactions, and addressing concerns professionally.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to ensure availability of medications.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Accurately maintain patient records and pharmacy documentation.
  • Handle insurance claims processing and resolve any issues related to reimbursement.
  • Work closely with the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
