Parking Enforcement Job Description

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for enforcing parking restrictions in the downtown area and ensuring compliance with City ordinance. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of parking regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol designated areas to identify and address parking violations
  • Issue parking tickets to vehicles in violation of City ordinance
  • Impound vehicles with excessive unpaid parking tickets
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and interactions
  • Ensure assigned vehicle is clean and well-maintained
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to public inquiries
  • Testify in court as required
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 12 hours of college credit from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of one year of experience in dealing with the public
  • Previous experience with law enforcement or parking enforcement preferred
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Pass a criminal history check and background check
