The City of Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a lifeguard to join their team for the summer season. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of pool patrons and providing a top-notch experience for the citizens of Amarillo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive lifeguarding to ensure the safety of all pool patrons
  • Enforce all swimming pool rules and regulations
  • Attend in-service reviews and maintain training hours for a valid lifeguard license
  • Work shifts between 7:30 am and 10:45 pm, including teaching swim lessons

Requirements:

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations
  • Desire to work with people in a pool environment
