The Assembler will be part of a production team responsible for assembling parts for satellite systems. This role requires manual labor in a production line, where the Assembler will sort and place materials, assemble satellite sub-assembly parts, and use various hand tools and measuring equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble satellite sub-assembly parts manually.
  • Sort and place materials or items on tables, racks or bins.
  • Use various hand tools, measuring and test equipment.
  • Clean assembled parts and place in protective bags or boxes.
  • Pack, seal and move boxes.
  • Pick up, move and sort small parts.
  • Use small tools and jigs to manipulate parts for assembly.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • US Citizen, Permanent Resident Card Holder, or Non-Citizen allowed to work for any employer.
  • Must be service-oriented, flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
  • Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Must be able to stand 8 hours/day.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or certificate in technical area.
  • Assembly or manufacturing experience.
  • High aptitude to work with small electronic, to include soldering of small electrical components or mechanical equipment.
  • Experience in space or aeronautical field.
