Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Counseling: Provide one-on-one counseling and consultation services to military service members and their families, addressing a range of financial services including budgeting, saving, and debt management.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement financial education programs, workshops, and classes to support the financial well-being of military service members and their families.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to ensure that our program meets the needs of the installation and provides within scope.
  • Training and Development: Participate in regular in-services, training, and quality improvement committees to stay up-to-date on the latest financial trends and best practices.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with leadership, colleagues, and clients to share information and provide support.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; may consider applicants with an associate degree plus 4 years' experience or a high school diploma plus 6 years' experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of financial counseling experience; must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • Certifications: Must have one of the following certifications: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
