About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Saratoga Retirement Community. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective completion of repairs and maintenance of our community buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, schedule, direct, and supervise all maintenance and engineer team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee the distribution and completion of all service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address maintenance needs and opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance history.
  • Develop and implement budget plans for maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in HVAC/mechanical, electrical, plumbing, locksmithing, utility systems, and/or general building repair.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a similar setting, including budgeting, performance management, discipline, and management of employees.
  • Certification in building maintenance, construction, or a related field is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and meet Pacific Retirement Services' (PRS) Employment Driver Guidelines.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification is required upon hire or within 90 days of hire.
  • Skills in operation, repair, and maintenance of shop equipment and tools.
  • Knowledge of fire prevention, suppression, and alarm systems.
  • Ability to read and understand specifications, plans, and drawings, especially mechanical.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to fill out forms and keep accurate records.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook and Word, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Building Automation Systems (BAS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and scheduling applications.
