Position Summary

The MEP Superintendent plays a crucial role in overseeing the construction activities of projects to ensure compliance with specifications, budget constraints, and timely completion. The projects managed range from complex to highly complex, requiring effective coordination, planning, and supervision of craft superintendents, contractors, and craft activities. This role involves overseeing discipline-specific scopes of work valued between $2MM and $10MM with minimal guidance from senior field leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage construction activities to ensure adherence to specifications, budget, and schedule.
  • Handle projects of varying complexity with a focus on delivering quality outcomes.
  • Coordinate, plan, and supervise craft superintendents and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage discipline-specific scopes of work within the specified financial range with limited oversight.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience in the construction industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A collaborative individual with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing mid to large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience in Design/Build projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to thoroughly comprehend project specifications and identify discrepancies in the field.
  • Exceptional planning skills, particularly in utilizing Lean Tools for scheduling and constructability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with project management software, including PlanGrid.
  • Experience with mobile devices and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) applications is a plus.
  • Expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing disciplines.
