We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Seasonal Animal Keeper in the Primate Department. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to our primate collection.

Responsibilities

* Clean and maintain animal enclosures, displays, and public areas
* Conduct daily inspections of animal health and behavior, reporting any concerns to supervisors
* Prepare and serve diets and feeding procedures for the animal collection
* Perform operant conditioning and enrichment programs as instructed
* Instruct new personnel in animal care and handling procedures
* Assist with animal transport and medication administration
* Provide engaging interactions with guests and inform them about biodiversity and conservation

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in an animal-related field or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience in animal husbandry with primates
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Working Conditions

* Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment drug & nicotine screen, background check & proof of full COVID vaccination
* Must be able to lift and move 50 pounds without mechanical assistance
* Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable to drive a Zoo vehicle
