Job Title: MRI Technologist

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to join our team in Somerville, NJ.

Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating and maintaining MRI equipment, preparing patients for diagnostic procedures, and providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, including inserting intravenous lines and setting up patients for scans
  • Provide emergency medical care, including CPR, as indicated and directed by physicians or nurses
  • Perform contrast injections per protocol as necessary
  • Develop and implement protocols for MRI procedures, including cardiac imaging
  • Monitor and maintain MRI system images and coils for quality and wear
  • Notify supervisors of any QA discrepancies or equipment-related problems
Requirements:
  • One year of previous RRT experience
  • ARRT licensure with MRI certification (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and courteously with patients and staff
