Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead MRI Technologist to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety in our MRI suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain standards and processes for MRI procedures
  • Communicate and train staff on MRI systems and protocols
  • Collaborate with radiologists and departmental leadership to ensure adherence to departmental guidelines
  • Ensure safe MRI practices and maintain a safe working environment
  • Perform quality control procedures on MRI equipment and report any issues to supervisor
  • Prepare and administer MR contrast agents and perform point-of-care testing as needed
  • Provide patient education and instruction on MRI safety procedures
  • Mentor and train new staff members and technologists
  • Assist with accreditation processes and maintain departmental records
Requirements
  • R.T.(MR) certification
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Imaging program
  • BLS certification
  • Preferred: Radiation Licensure in the state of Massachusetts
