Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Hotel California by the Sea, a leading provider of dual-diagnosis drug and alcohol treatment services. As a Chef, you will be responsible for preparing healthy, nutritious, and delicious meals for our clients, ensuring their dietary needs are met while maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and cook meals that meet the dietary needs of our clients, adhering to culinary guidelines and regulations.
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and storage to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with our treatment team to ensure meals are tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.
  • Develop and implement menus that are appealing and nutritious, taking into account client preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • 6 months of experience as a professional chef, preferably in a healthcare or treatment setting.
  • Current Food Handlers Permit/Certificate.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification/Training.
  • Current PPD and Health Screening.
  • Current State Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience as a professional chef, preferably in a healthcare or treatment setting.
  • Excellent food preparation and culinary skills, with a focus on healthy and nutritious meal options.
  • Good menu and food management skills, with the ability to accommodate client preferences and dietary restrictions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with our treatment team to ensure meals meet the specific needs of our clients.
