Job Title: Principal Development Engineer

TA Instruments-Waters LLC is seeking a highly skilled Principal Development Engineer to join our ElectroForce R&D organization. As a key contributor to our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing next-generation, connected mechanical test instruments for our materials division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop innovative mechanical test instruments using advanced technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and commercialization
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies

Requirements:

  • 12-15 years of experience in product design and development
  • Strong background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • Experience with linear systems, adaptive control development, and model-based design
  • Proficiency in C or C++ programming languages and experience with Visual Studio
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with real-time operating systems and signal processing
  • Knowledge of electrical measurements and system recognition capabilities
  • Ability to lead complex projects and mentor junior engineers
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
