Patient Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our team at CHI Health. As a Patient Service Representative, you will be responsible for communicating with patients, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate with patients to schedule appointments, answer questions, and provide information about their care.
- Use independent knowledge to determine the type of appointment needed and schedule patients accordingly.
- Update patients on the status of their referrals or authorizations.
- Communicate with internal and external ordering physicians' offices to provide complex exam preparation instructions.
- Determine the reason for a call and assist the caller with their questions, concerns, or problems.
- Escalate matters to a supervisor or issue expert as needed.
- Schedule and register patient appointments and provide information for other requests.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with computer systems, including web-based applications.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a patient-focused healthcare environment or high-volume multichannel contact center.
- Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or military training equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program.
