Position Overview:
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will oversee all inventory management activities within the warehouse. This includes ensuring the optimal condition and functionality of warehouse operations related to inventory management, conducting cycle and physical counts, and managing the receiving and distribution of inventory.
The role involves delegating tasks and responsibilities to team members while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy leader focused on solutions and driven by performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-the-job training for team members in the safe and efficient use of equipment.
- Promote a safe working environment by implementing 5S practices, job rotation, and ergonomic strategies.
- Assess team members on various performance metrics, including attendance and job knowledge, and make recommendations for staffing decisions.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels within the department and reassign team members as necessary to optimize labor efficiency.
- Monitor and positively influence key performance indicators, balancing quality, productivity, safety, and employee morale.
- Continuously evaluate processes within the warehouse for potential improvements in production methods, tool design, and cost management.
- Ensure that all pre-shift inspections are completed and that production lines are adequately supplied with necessary materials.
- Maintain accurate documentation for traceability and payroll purposes.
- Engage in problem-solving and team-building initiatives, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
- Champion the MBS Lean philosophy and its application within the team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in manufacturing, operations, business management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a production manufacturing environment.
