Shipping/Receiving Associate Job Description

Recruiting Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping/Receiving Associate to join our team at a plastic injection molding facility in Cowpens, South Carolina. This is a 12-hour shift, 7pm to 7am, with a competitive starting pay rate of $20.02 per hour, including an extensive range of benefits such as healthcare, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as 401(k) with matching, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete daily operations of shipping and receiving, and production support safely and efficiently
  • Shipping finished goods, receiving raw materials, and production support
  • Ensure all work undertaken is carried out safely and without injury
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times
  • Report food safety issues to the appropriate manager or supervisor
  • Perform housekeeping duties throughout the shift
  • Lift 35 pounds unassisted and while standing/walking for the duration of the shift
  • Develop, implement, and support Continuous Improvements Programs
  • Initiate corrective action for non-conformances
  • Identify Opportunities for Improvement and enter into the See It, Sort It, Report It system
  • Able and willing to wear appropriate PPE as required
  • Duties as assigned per Warehouse Supervisor
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Good mathematical skills, oral/written communication skills, and computer skills
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
  • 2 years shipping/receiving experience is preferred
  • 2 years Powered Industrial Vehicle (standup and sit down) experience required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High school diploma or GED required
