Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Biostatistics is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join our team for a summer internship.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with computational scientists and biomedical researchers to develop computational tools for spatial omics analysis.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of algorithms and machine learning models.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure timely completion of projects and deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate students with a strong background in computer algorithms and machine learning are preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and Java programming languages is required.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for 8-10 weeks.
  • Availability to work at a competitive hourly rate of $13 per hour.
