Primary Purpose:
Assist in achieving the objectives of the designated campus/department while performing routine tasks under the guidance and oversight of the ACE Site Coordinator. The part-time work schedule will not exceed thirty hours per week. Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
  • High school diploma or GED (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency) or higher; and
  • Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
  • Ability to effectively engage with diverse groups of individuals in a professional manner.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations within the school/department environment.
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team to support campus and staff needs.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Keep supervisor informed of daily progress on assigned tasks.
  • Execute required duties according to established practices.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Adhere to district guidelines in maintaining a tidy and confidential work environment.
  • Support the mission of the school district by serving as a positive role model for students.
  • Assist the Site Coordinator with daily program setup, including but not limited to: distributing schedules, delivering supplies to designated areas, and procuring supplies.
  • Serve as float personnel in any aspect of the ACE program as needed on a daily basis. Also serve as a secondary point of contact for parents/students should the Site Coordinator be unavailable.

  • Utilize effective communication skills with district personnel.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential functions of the job.

Calculator, Computer, printer, copier, fax, multiline telephone, and other equipment relevant to the position or assigned tasks. Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands:
Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions; frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing; lift/carry 10-25 pounds frequently, 25-40 pounds occasionally, more than 45 pounds infrequently with assistance; pushing/pulling 10-35 pounds sporadically.

Environmental Factors:
Frequent exposure to: work indoors and outdoors in varying climate conditions (hot and cold), humidity extremes, noise, low or intense illumination, vibration.
