Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician II to join our team at Daikin Applied. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks on HVAC unitary and applied equipment, including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, and proper lubrication.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostic: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with CAT II and III equipment, including VFDs, boilers, electrical and refrigerant circuits, screw, scroll, and reciprocal compressors, rooftop systems up to 150 tons, and scroll chillers up to 200 tons.
  • Equipment Replacement and Installation: Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring, including CAT II and III equipment.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to Level I technicians, and participate in on-the-job training and development programs.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers to provide status reports of service, explain technical information, and offer solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of billing, inventory, timecards, and other relevant data.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  • Experience: 3+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility, or 5+ years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver's license, state license or certifications as required by market, and EPA-approved Universal Technician Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current First Aid/CPR Card: Possession of a current first aid/CPR card.
  • OSHA 10 Certification: Possession of OSHA 10 certification.
