Work Schedule: Per Diem

Shift Timing: Nights, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

Flexibility Required: Must be adaptable to float as necessary to various AdventHealth locations.

Unit Highlights:

The Neonatal ICU Float Team Nurse will be required to float to all NICU units, level II and III, within the designated float pool coverage areas. This includes floating to various NICU locations to perform duties that align with their skill set and competency level. We are seeking nurses with NICU level III experience and above for this position.

The Community You Will Serve:

The Neonatal ICU Float Team Nurse will be expected to float to all NICU units within the predetermined float pool coverage areas, ensuring that they perform duties that match their skill set and competency level.

Your Role:

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role as a central patient care provider, responsible for coordinating and delivering patient-centered nursing care in accordance with the Neonatal Level of Care Designation, Level II. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the RN collaborates with all other healthcare professionals to ensure the successful execution of the patient's care plan. The RN employs physical assessment skills and advanced diagnostic technology to evaluate the patient's nursing care needs. Data collected is analyzed, synthesized, and shared with other healthcare providers. The RN continuously monitors and assesses the patient's physical condition, emotional, and social needs, refining the care plan to achieve the desired outcomes for both the patient and the facility. Participation in providing patient-specific care standards as directed, while adhering to service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction, is essential.

Qualifications for Success:

Minimum Requirements:

  • General knowledge of professional nursing principles and techniques used in the assessment, care, and treatment of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Nursery patients.
  • Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Life Support Certifications (NRP).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of Pediatric or NICU experience.
  • Professional Certification.
  • S.T.A.B.L.E certification.
