As a Culinary Preparation Specialist at LAGUNAASIDE, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all food items are prepared according to established recipe guidelines. This position emphasizes safe food handling practices, cleanliness, and adherence to sanitation standards throughout your shift. You will utilize the appropriate safety equipment and tools while preparing food to meet the high standards set by management. Additionally, you will be responsible for the proper organization of food products in our storage areas, including walk-in coolers and freezers, as well as maintaining an orderly dry storage environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items with precision, ensuring speed and accuracy to uphold our diverse menu offerings.
- Maintain an inventory of prep items by following the prep list and proactively restocking as needed.
- Accurately measure ingredients and adhere to mixing methods as outlined in recipes.
- Prepare fresh ingredients by washing, slicing vegetables, and cutting meats.
- Perform basic cooking tasks, including sautéing vegetables and boiling soups.
- Label and organize all food products to ensure proper rotation and freshness.
- Comply with sanitation and cleanliness standards and procedures.
- Execute additional related tasks as directed.
- Ensure the maintenance of kitchen equipment and cleanliness of the work area.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve excellence in food preparation and delivery.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety, and hygiene practices.
- Familiarity with common kitchen equipment and appliances.
- Ability to follow instructions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Capability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs.

- No formal education required.
Work Schedule/Compensation:
- Available for part-time or full-time hours, compensated hourly.
- Expected to work between 10 to 40 hours weekly.
