Job Overview

The primary function of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods from one location to another. As a Class A CDL Driver, you will be responsible for operating a tractor trailer, navigating through various road conditions, and adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and unload products in a timely and accurate manner
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Operate the vehicle safely and efficiently, minimizing accidents and traffic violations
  • Report any incidents or accidents to the Transportation Manager immediately
  • Pick up supplies and backhaul from vendors as needed
  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL license and medical card
  • One year of experience as a Class A CDL driver
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and UNFI's safety standards
