Job Description

Ryder is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team in New York. As a Regional Class A CDL Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor trailer and delivering freight to customers in the NE and New England region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
Benefits:
  • Comprehensive benefits start 30 days after hire
  • Paid Time Off starts at Day 1 - 80 hours accrued in 1st year
  • Reimbursement for cost and provision of training to obtain endorsements
  • Shift Differential
