Wound Care Specialist

KurzSolutions seeks a skilled Wound Care Specialist to assess patients, develop plans of care, and initiate treatment measures based on standing orders and standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient clinical condition and implement appropriate nursing actions.
- Screen patients and evaluate chief complaints.
- Initiate treatment measures based on appropriate utilization of standing orders, certifications, and standards of care.
- Consult with attending provider and collaborate in developing a multi-disciplinary approach to provision of care.
- Document all relevant patient health care treatments according to the organization's policies and procedures.
- Assess and apply wound dressing necessary to promote healing.
- Provide adequate medical supply to assist in getting wound to heal.
- Maintain professional knowledge and proficiency in unit-specific nursing knowledge and practice.
- Participate in development, updating, and evaluation of standards of care and quality improvement measures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience with a specialization in wound care.
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with at least an associate's degree.
- Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing Certification Board and Basic Life Support Certification.
- Current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in the state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
