We are seeking an experienced Nursing Department Manager to lead our skilled nursing team at Oakland Heights, a city-owned non-profit facility in Northeast Nebraska. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the nursing department, including supervising staff, developing policies and procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Clinical Expertise: As a registered nurse, you will be expected to provide high-quality patient care, assess resident needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based practices.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, is essential for this role.

Requirements

  • Licensure and Certification: Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state and certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., gerontology, case management).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
