We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Bartender to join our team at Los Dos Potrillos. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving cocktails, serving food items in the bar area, and handling currency transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet and serve customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Beverage Preparation: Prepare alcoholic, non-alcoholic, and other beverages for customers and servers in accordance with standard recipes.
- Drink Presentation: Mix all drinks based on serving sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum.
- Food Service: Take food orders and enter them into the computer.
- Bar Maintenance: Maintain a clean bar at all times, wiping the bar regularly, disposing of debris and bottles, and washing glasses behind the bar as needed.
- Inventory Management: Check and maintain stock of glassware, beverages, and bar supplies and communicate shortages to the appropriate person.
- Financial Transactions: Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally.
- Communication: Assist with answering the telephone and taking messages to give to the proper personnel when time allows.
- Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
