Material Handling Equipment Specialist

Job Description: In this role, you will work under the direct supervision of the Shop Supervisor or Lead Technician to maintain and service material handling equipment at our customer locations. Your duties will include repairing or replacing major system components, including circuit boards and electrical parts, hydraulic and mechanical systems, power steering, transmissions, engines, and batteries. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing material handling equipment components, performing engine tune-ups, and performing proper preventive maintenance. Additionally, you will be able to use and maintain all specialty trade tools, operate a service van, and follow all required safety rules for the job.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need a high school diploma, G.E.D., or technical school graduate. A minimum of two years of experience in repair and maintenance on material handling equipment is required. You must also be able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics, lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance, and be capable of becoming certified to operate equipment. You must also be willing and able to frequently push, pull, kneel, bend, and reach. Furthermore, you will need to maintain a valid driver's license and have basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Salary: The estimated salary for this role is $25-32 per hour. The job is a temp-to-hire position with a 120-day duration. You will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid out in two installments: $2,500 after 30 days and $2,500 after 12 months. The location hiring manager will be the primary point of contact for the hiring process.
