Job Title: Medical Physicist PhD or Masters

Overview:

The US Oncology Network is a leading provider of cancer care services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team. As a Medical Physicist, you will play a critical role in the design, optimization, and delivery of radiation treatment plans, ensuring the safety and accuracy of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and optimize radiation treatment plans using advanced computer systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with physicians and radiation therapists to ensure accurate and safe treatment delivery.
  • Supervise and maintain radiation treatment equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Develop and implement quality management programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in clinical instruction and training of radiation staff and students.
  • Assume leadership roles in the development and implementation of new technologies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Post-doctoral degree in Physics from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum three to five years of experience in radiation physics.
  • Current certification in the field by the American Board of Radiology or Board of Medical Physics.
  • Valid state license for medical physics, as required.
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent contact with staff and patients. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment, communicate complex information to patients and staff, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
