Job SummaryThe successful candidate will function as a MI SPECT Technologist, performing diagnostic imaging procedures on patients of all ages to assist in the diagnosis of patient illness. They will also serve as a training resource and provide expertise in the operation of medical imaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform MI SPECT diagnostic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to department procedures and protocols.
- Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
- Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
- Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
- Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
- Review tests with peers and physicians.
- Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures.
- Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
- Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
- Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed.
- Clean and sterilize equipment and work space.
- Recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair.
- Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Requirements- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program.
- Clinical Nuclear Medicine Technologist background with a minimum of 3 years MI SPECT clinical experience required.
- Siemens or GE experience.
- Siemens C.cam experience.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal needed.
- Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous responsible, professional and ethical manner.
- Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
