Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated NDT Trainee Penetrant to become an integral part of our operations at Precision Castparts Corp. This role involves evaluating the surface integrity of castings through the application of specialized techniques and liquid penetrant materials. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in upholding quality standards and adhering to production specifications by executing fluorescent penetrant inspection tasks. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity that offers pathways for professional advancement.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Support Level II personnel in the examination of castings for defects and quality assurance
  • Execute fluorescent penetrant inspections in accordance with established NDT protocols
  • Maintain Level I certification in compliance with NAS 410 standards
  • Adhere to safety regulations and procedures, including UV lighting guidelines
  • Document all training and practical experience necessary for certification
  • Notify management of any discrepancies as required
  • Complete essential documentation and keep precise records
  • Engage in routine calibration and system checks
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations within the plant and penetrant area
  • Exhibit competence in operational tasks such as loading baskets, developing, and managing temperature controls
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • Capability to follow directives and interpret technical documents
  • Basic proficiency in mathematics
  • Physical capability to fulfill job responsibilities
