Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical histories to assess patients' physical and mental conditions.
- Diagnostic Testing: Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and other diagnostic tests to inform patient care decisions.
- Prescription and Treatment: Prescribe, recommend, and employ medical drug therapies or other therapeutic treatments, performing procedures as needed in accordance with approved protocols.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive outcomes-based patient treatment plans, collaborating with physicians and other team members as necessary.
- Patient Education: Counsel patients and families regarding medical processes, health management, medication, nutrition, and health promotion.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records detailing patient treatment plans and outcomes, initiating timely consultation and referral when necessary.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Provide consultation-level services for conditions related to your specialty and training, managing patients in various healthcare settings.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Certifications: Current PA license through the state of Texas and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
