About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Texas Health Huguley - AdventHealth. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in the treatment, management, and care of patients with respiratory deficiencies and abnormalities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care services through accurate interpretation of physician orders and implementation of various modes of therapeutic and diagnostic cardiopulmonary procedures.
  • Review physician orders for respiratory care services to ensure proper patient identification, appropriateness, accuracy, and safety of therapy.
  • Actively participate in the direction and selection of treatment modalities by communicating pertinent information to medical and nursing staff.
  • Respond to "Stat" and emergency calls within 5 minutes of time initiated.
  • Review patients' charts at least once a shift to assess response to treatment and to ensure progress toward therapeutic goals.
Requirements
  • Two years of training from an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care.
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner Certification from the Texas Department of Health.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist License with NBRC.
