Senior Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Worker to join our team at the University of Washington Medical Center - Northwest campus. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive social work services to patients and their families, including psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Develop and implement effective interventions to address patients' social and emotional needs.
- Advocate for patients' rights and interests, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Master of Social Work degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- At least one year of full-time social work experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of social work theories, principles, and practices, with a focus on geropsychology.
