POSITION SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Production Specialist is responsible for setting up, operating, and managing machinery to process various materials used in the assembly of ventilation systems, stall systems, and other products offered by J&D Sales Inc of Eau Claire.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To excel in this role, an individual must competently execute each key responsibility. The qualifications and requirements outlined below are indicative of the essential duties, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary for this position. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfill these essential functions.
- Interpret and comprehend work orders, schematics, and production timelines to ascertain specifications, including materials required, cutting and bending line locations, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Load materials into machinery for processing.
- Confirm with work orders, schematics, and supervisory personnel that the initial part meets specifications before continuing with the production run.
- Set up, operate, and oversee machines to cut, shear, punch, crimp, notch, bend, drill, straighten, or manipulate various materials.
- Initiate machine operations, monitor performance, and document operational data.
- Coordinate the distribution of completed work orders to subsequent departments.
- Ensure machinery is inspected and operational before use, including completing a safety checklist and verifying that safety guards are in place.
- Conduct necessary quality assurance checks as required.
- Assist supervisors with specific maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize protective equipment as necessary.
- Identify and promptly rectify any safety hazards in the work environment.
- Collaborate with and support colleagues in the work area.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Assist in identifying and resolving quality-related issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Foster a positive team spirit and contribute to a work environment that promotes high levels of employee cooperation, morale, and satisfaction.
