Activities Coordinator for Adult Day Program

Position Overview:
  • Design and oversee engaging activities for the Adult Day Program
  • Facilitate both individual and group activities to enhance independence and social connections
  • Collaborate with various departments to offer therapeutic and recreational experiences
  • Support participants in achieving maximum involvement
  • Organize social meals and special occasions
  • Work alongside staff and volunteers to develop inclusive programming
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the planning of activities
  • Provide personalized interactions for participants
  • Create decorations and manage bulletin boards effectively
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Preferred background in recreation therapy or a related discipline
  • Experience with vulnerable populations is advantageous
  • Certification as a Nurse Assistant (CNA) is beneficial
  • Exhibit patience, enthusiasm, and confidentiality
  • Ability to engage with diverse populations with varying needs
  • CPR certification is mandatory
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and capability to operate a handicapped van
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening as per state regulations
Reporting Structure:
This role reports to the Home Health Manager or designated representative.
