Construction Superintendent Job Description

SST Direct is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of assigned buildings or projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Coordination: Ensure that all assigned construction is completed according to plans and specifications, on schedule, and with the highest quality of workmanship.
  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of assigned carpenters, laborers, and equipment operators, ensuring that all necessary tools and materials are available.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all work meets the required standards, and report any deficiencies to the Project Manager.
  • Communication: Maintain consistent communication with the Project Manager, Director of Construction, and other stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed of project progress and any issues that may arise.
  • Scheduling: Plan and coordinate project schedules, including the coordination of testing and inspections with the Quality Control Manager.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress, including time cards, expense reports, and subcontractor pay application reviews.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
