About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Main Bank Cashier to join our team at Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and security of our cash handling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Handling and Verification: Protect and preserve master bank assets, including accounting for, verifying, and documenting all incoming and outgoing cash, chips, tokens, coins, currency, vouchers, TITO tickets, coupons, checks, jackpot slips, bank deposits, cassettes, and coin hoppers from self-redemption machines and other monetary units.
  • Reconciliation and Balancing: Perform verification, reconciliation, and balancing functions, including drafting, completing, signing, or otherwise preparing necessary documentation, such as the Vault Entry Log, Cashier Turn-In or Exchange Slips, Vault Count Sheet, Main Bank Summary, Vault Accountability, and Drop Summary Reports.
  • Machine Operation and Maintenance: Understand and efficiently operate all machines used in the course of business, including computers or other information systems, software, and hardware.
  • Count Room and Token Verification: Verify Count Room drops as a blind count, including verification of each strap or brick, clip, and tokens counted.
  • Token Processing and Scaling: Verify and process all bagged tokens that require scaling and tagging.
  • Cashier and Casino Banker Exchanges: Prepare and process Cashier and Casino Banker exchanges.
  • Training and Compliance: Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Data Analysis: Compile information, complete, and submit reports as needed.
  • Adherence to Company Policies: Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including meeting departmental or company deadlines, and performing all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patrons and other team members of the organization.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
