Job Summary

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to manage all culinary operations for a brand new hospital in the Denver area. The successful candidate will oversee patient feeding, retail areas, and catering, while leading a team of frontline staff and developing a strong culinary environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for the hospital
  • Manage, direct, and mentor frontline staff to ensure high-quality food service
  • Oversee procurement and purchasing to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
  • Create menus based on client needs and preferences
  • Implement innovative and fresh ideas in retail, catering, and patient services
  • Develop interpersonal relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Strong culinary background in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent management and leadership skills, with experience in leading teams
  • Menu planning experience and a strong understanding of current culinary trends
  • Proficient computer skills, highly organized, and detail-focused
  • Demonstrated background in fostering culture amongst a diverse team
  • Proven ability to set up processes, create efficiencies, and solve problems with little to no direction
  • ServSafe Certified with proven working knowledge of HAACP

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of basic management experience
  • 3 years of work experience in food or culinary services, including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
