Position Summary

We are looking for a **Registered Nurse, Emergency Department** who is a proficient clinician with extensive experience in patient care. This role requires a solid understanding of specific patient populations and the ability to apply acquired knowledge, theories, research, and experience to adapt to clinical changes. The RN will utilize the Synergy Model for Care in practice, personalizing care for each patient and family while serving as a resource for colleagues and a strong advocate for patients.

The individual will:

  • Communicate consistently, effectively, and respectfully with patients, their families, and other healthcare team members while delivering safe, reliable, and effective care independently using the nursing process.
  • Exhibit advanced assessment skills and understand the influence of nursing care on patient outcomes.
  • Accurately document the nursing process in the appropriate formats (e.g., electronic records, clinical pathways, charts) and independently plan and implement patient care.
  • Incorporate patient and family input in care planning while managing time efficiently, integrating the AACN Synergy Model into clinical practice, and identifying the need to update policies and procedures based on evidence-based research.
  • Achieve required points and contact hours as outlined in the clinical lattice point system to maintain the position.

Minimum Qualifications

Must possess a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 12 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or have recently completed a re-entry nursing program.

BLS certification is required, and ACLS certification may be necessary in designated departments.
