Position Overview

Role Summary

As an ER nurse, you will be responsible for delivering care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. You will need to identify and manage life-threatening conditions effectively. Your role will involve:
  • Providing comprehensive patient assessments and developing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Performing triage while addressing both physical and emotional needs of patients.
  • Administering basic life support and stabilizing patients until a physician is available.
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs accurately.
  • Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures.
  • Administering medications as prescribed and documenting any adverse reactions.
  • Providing IV therapy and wound care.
  • Educating patients and their families on managing health conditions and post-treatment care.
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor while managing multiple urgent tasks.
  • Documenting all patient care information thoroughly and accurately.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with active licensure.
  • A minimum of one year of recent experience in an emergency room setting.
  • Current certifications in AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Preferred certifications include TNCC and NIHSS.
