Job Overview

Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled AML Risk Analyst and Financial Crimes Investigator to join our team. This role will be responsible for performing AML alert/case reviews, applying research and analytic techniques to identify complex information sets, and documenting findings in narrative style format.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 5 days in office requirement, Bachelors degree, and minimum 2+ years of prior relevant experience. They will also possess knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA, OFAC, FinCEN guidance), experience working with manual and system generated alerts/cases, and ability to detect and mitigate red flags for potential financial crime.

Responsibilities

This role will include:
  1. Performing AML alert/case reviews to mitigate risks associated with financial crimes and suspicious activity.
  2. Applying research and analytic techniques to digest complex information sets to make logical and adequately supported determinations regarding unusual and potentially suspicious activity.
  3. Documenting findings in narrative style format, in the manual and automated process case management system, and prepare updates to Project Managers / Team Leads as appropriate.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • 5 days in office requirement.
  • Bachelors degree and minimum 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA, OFAC, FinCEN guidance).
  • Experience working with manual and system generated alerts/cases for the detection of potentially suspicious activity.
  • Ability to detect and mitigate red flags for potential financial crime, including money laundering, terrorism financing activities, and fraud.

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
