A Day in the Life:

In this role, you will collaborate with a team of skilled scientists to investigate algorithms and conduct experiments that validate scientific hypotheses in large language models (LLMs). You will work alongside various partners, including product managers, data annotators, and developers, to deploy robust models into production.

Your responsibilities will also include mentoring fellow scientists, reviewing their work, and aiding in the development of strategic roadmaps for the team. You will play a crucial role in delivering platform features that necessitate leadership across multiple teams.


Basic Qualifications:
  • PhD or Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing machine learning models or algorithms for practical applications.
  • Experience in creating systems for speech recognition, machine translation, and natural language processing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD in a quantitative discipline such as econometrics, statistics, industrial engineering, operations research, optimization, or data mining.
  • Proven experience in developing systems for speech recognition, machine translation, and natural language processing.
  • Strong analytical skills with a track record of uncovering hidden patterns in data and performing error analysis.
  • Ability to formulate experimental and analytical plans for data modeling, utilizing strong baselines to determine causal relationships.
  • Driven to achieve results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a highly collaborative and evolving work setting.
