Heavy Duty Truck Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel fleet vehicles, including inspections, oil changes, and tire rotations.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Work with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and ready for use.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques in diesel fleet maintenance.
- 5 years of experience in diesel fleet maintenance and repair.
- Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred).
- Annual Inspector Certification.
- Brake Inspector Certification.
- ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks.
- EPA section 608 (Core & Type II) and 609 HVAC Refrigeration Certification.
- Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize tasks effectively. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and lifting up to 100 pounds. The successful candidate will also be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and to be able to lift and move heavy equipment.
