Nurse Specialist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at McLean Hospital in Lexington, Massachusetts. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with psychiatric illnesses.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse and be responsible for:
- Providing accurate and timely documentation of patient information
- Establishing therapeutic relationships with patients and maintaining professional boundaries
- Participating in patient rounds and teams
- Completing patient care assignments and identifying patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations
- Utilizing non-verbal and verbal techniques to de-escalate crisis situations
- Communicating changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse
- Following Standards of Care and protocols for assigned patients
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in direct patient care
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in collaboration with others
