Position Summary

We are in search of a highly analytical and skilled Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our dynamic team. This critical role involves delivering comprehensive financial insights and support to enhance business performance across our operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning, working collaboratively with various business units to optimize financial results and support organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Generate and present detailed financial reports and analytics to guide business strategies and provide insights into corporate, cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail operations.
  • Gather and evaluate financial and market data across different business units to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to develop, maintain, and revise budgets, and create presentation materials for stakeholders.
  • Enhance budget and forecast templates and financial models.
  • Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to facilitate timely and effective decision-making.
  • Engage in monthly business reviews, providing analytical support tailored to specific business units.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis, modeling, and reporting as required.
  • Establish strong working relationships with divisional and corporate leadership to ensure effective financial communication and support.

Financial Management of Operations:

  • Oversee and support financial management processes, ensuring alignment with corporate policies.
  • Track and manage internal controls over capital and operating expenditures.
  • Prepare financial reports for various projects and ensure accuracy in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages for leadership review.
  • Conduct performance reporting and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist the VP of Finance with data collection and analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field is required.
  • Six to ten years of FP&A or relevant experience in a finance environment, preferably within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or Cannabis industry.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with management reporting, variance analysis, and other analyst support functions in forecasting and budgeting.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements for both review and modeling purposes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, diverse priorities and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Functional knowledge of financial reporting systems and methodologies.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to explain complex data topics to non-experts.
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights financial planning tool is a plus.
  • Strong experience working with large-scale datasets and managing multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
