Chief Development Officer

Michigan League for Public Policy (MLPP) is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its fundraising efforts and establish a robust development program.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, particularly in the foundation, individual, and planned giving areas, as well as sponsorship. Senior leadership experience and success in building a department and team are essential.

This is a hybrid/virtual first position, with required travel to Lansing for internal meetings and in-person donor meetings. The successful candidate will be expected to be conversant in the work of MLPP and current policies around the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement best-practice fundraising policies and procedures
  • Establish a formal fundraising program and grow a department
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of progressively increased responsibility in fundraising
  • Proven track record in foundation, individual, and planned giving areas, as well as sponsorship
  • Senior leadership experience and success in building a department and team

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
