ROLE: On-Call Support Services Associate

PROGRAMS: Disability Support Services

WORKING HOURS: Shifts will vary based on program requirements, including weekdays, weekends, and overnight hours.

Key Responsibilities

As a Support Services Associate, you will:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their personal, medical, and community needs are met.
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation in line with established policies.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing living spaces, as well as managing laundry and dishwashing tasks.
  • Report any health-related concerns regarding clients to the appropriate personnel.
  • Implement individualized programming that promotes independent living skills and community engagement.
  • Plan and facilitate community-based activities tailored to client preferences and goals.
  • Complete all necessary client documentation in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements.
  • Utilize positive behavior management techniques as outlined in client care plans.
  • Collaborate with team members to address client needs and concerns effectively.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Participate in required training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide transportation for clients as needed and accompany them to healthcare appointments.
  • Be adaptable and willing to take on various roles as required by the program.
Qualifications

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Willingness to meet all training and certification requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to navigate public transportation are required.
