ROLE: On-Call Support Services Associate
PROGRAMS: Disability Support Services
WORKING HOURS: Shifts will vary based on program requirements, including weekdays, weekends, and overnight hours.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Support Services Associate, you will:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their personal, medical, and community needs are met.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation in line with established policies.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning and organizing living spaces, as well as managing laundry and dishwashing tasks.
- Report any health-related concerns regarding clients to the appropriate personnel.
- Implement individualized programming that promotes independent living skills and community engagement.
- Plan and facilitate community-based activities tailored to client preferences and goals.
- Complete all necessary client documentation in a timely manner.
- Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Utilize positive behavior management techniques as outlined in client care plans.
- Collaborate with team members to address client needs and concerns effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Participate in required training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, and other stakeholders.
- Provide transportation for clients as needed and accompany them to healthcare appointments.
- Be adaptable and willing to take on various roles as required by the program.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
- Willingness to meet all training and certification requirements.
- Commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred qualifications include an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is essential.
- Valid driver's license and ability to navigate public transportation are required.
