This position is part of CoreCivic's mental health team, responsible for providing clinical mental health services to inmates at the Central Arizona Florence Correctional Complex.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct mental health screenings and assessments to identify inmates' needs and develop individual treatment plans.
- Provide counseling and therapy services to inmates, including crisis interventions and mental health assessments.
- Document treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each inmate.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest psychological counseling theories and techniques to provide effective treatments and activities for inmates.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical area from an accredited college or university.
- Five years of clinical experience, including two years in a comparable job position.
- Appropriate certification or licensing in the state where practice occurs.
- A valid driver's license is preferred.
- Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.
