Medical Support Professional

Fairview Park Hospital is seeking a skilled Clinical Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support our healthcare team. As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing patients for examination and treatment, taking vital signs, and assisting physicians with minor surgeries and physicals.
About the Role:
In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible experience. Your duties will include:
- Preparing patients for examination and treatment by taking patient histories and vital signs
- Preparing exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
- Administering injections and assisting with lab testing and phlebotomy
- Supporting physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals
- Answering telephone calls and screening referrals
Requirements and Qualifications:
We are looking for a highly skilled and certified Clinical Medical Assistant who meets the following requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or 12 months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting
- Current Medical Assistant certification is highly preferred (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NCRMA, ABR-OE)
- Candidates without certification must obtain within one year of hire date
