PUB STAFF POSITION
REPORTS TO: MANAGER
FLSA CLASS: Hourly Non-Exempt
The following outlines the general responsibilities and expectations for the Pub Staff role. This is not an exhaustive list of all tasks and duties that may be assigned. Employees may be required to perform additional tasks as necessary.
Position Overview:
As a member of the Pub Staff, you will engage in a variety of tasks that span from opening to closing operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: kitchen operations, front-of-house service, food preparation, cooking, serving meals, pouring beverages, managing tables, operating cash registers, restocking supplies, verifying patrons' identification for alcohol purchases, dishwashing, maintaining cleanliness throughout the pub, and fostering excellent customer relations. This role demands physical stamina and mental agility, as well as the ability to multitask effectively. Teamwork and independent work capabilities are essential. Safety is a priority, and all staff members are expected to report any safety concerns to management. Staying informed about company events, history, and products is also a requirement.
Job Requirements:
- Possess and maintain valid food handler and OLCC/WA liquor licenses.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Deliver exceptional customer service.
- Safely lift and transport heavy items, utilizing assistance when necessary.
- Value diversity and work effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.
- Maintain composure and focus in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
- Stand for extended periods, with frequent walking, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Perform repetitive movements, including pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting.
- Engage in fine motor tasks, such as handling kitchen equipment and using a computer.
- Communicate clearly and positively with colleagues, management, vendors, and customers.
- Work in a hot kitchen environment, handling various heat sources.
- Utilize cleaning chemicals safely.
- Assist with hosting duties as needed.
- Complete additional tasks as directed by the manager on duty.
All employees are expected to arrive ready to contribute positively to the work environment.
